Maria I. Mylona was born in 1984 in Kavala. She studied law at the homonymous Department of the School of Law, Economics and Political Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After completing her undergraduate studies, she enrolled in the Thessaloniki Bar Association and initially worked as a trainee lawyer and then as an independent associate in a reputable law firm in the co-capital, specializing mainly in European Business Law and Energy Law. In 2007 she was admitted with a scholarship from the "Alexandros S. Onassis" Public Benefit Foundation to the Postgraduate Program of the Department of Commercial & Financial Law of the Department of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
